Setting MCU-Link COM Port configuration

I've been using the LPC-Link 2 and MCUXpresso running on Windows 10.
I am now looking at the MCU-link.
Using device manager, when trying to configure the VCOM, I have two related questions.
From within device manager, after selecting "Properties":

  1. How do I set the "Bits per second"?
For the LPC-Link2 this is under a "Port Settings" tab.

  2. Similarly, how do I set the COM port?
For the LPC-Link2 this is under a "Port Settings" tab, then the "Advanced..." button, and then "COM Port Number".

I looked under the "Details" tab but didn't see any related settings.

Thanks for any guidance.

Hi,
Thank you for your interest in NXP Semiconductor products and for the opportunity to serve you.
Yes, it missing the Porting setting as it uses the NXP's own driver instead of Microsoft.
Have a great day,
TIC

Thank you for the prompt reply, but I think that this deficiency needs to be escalated.
It's good to know that NXP owns the driver, and can maintain the quality.

The "Port Settings" tab is not only available in Microsoft driver.
The drivers from other vendors (mbed, Prolific, etc) have the tab.

When using multiple debug adapters with multiple boards, it's useful that the COM ports do not move around. I have multiple boards (custom, and EVKs) connected at once.

Another issue: the driver improperly selected COM4, a port that was previously assigned, but not active.
When I activated it (via USB HUB switch), the original device could not start because of the overlap.
You can see that problem below.

I tried uninstalling the MCU-Link on COM4. When I cycled it's power, it returned to COM4, this time overlapping the active COM4 device.

Is there any possibility NXP's driver can be corrected to fix this selection problem?
And possibly add the "Port Setting"?

Thanks again

-- I'll report the phenomenon to the AE team for further checking later.

Hi,
According to the reply of the MCU-Link team, they were able to confirm that the missing Port Settings tab in the device managers properties is an oversight of the MCU-Link VCOM driver.
And they will fix the bug in a subsequent MCU-Link firmware update utility package (which includes and installs the necessary device drivers on Windows).
Have a great day,
TIC
