Secure provisioning of RT1021 by a third party?

Is there a way of provisioning an RT1021 so that it can be done by a third party without compromising the software IP?

I've come to the conclusion that the answer is no, because you need a trusted person to first burn the fuses/keys etc into the RT1021 and any secure code into flash.

I was just wondering if anyone had some thoughts on this?

Ideally we would like to outsource the manufacturing of the entire product, but I don't think we can because the RT1021 needs provisioning securely.

Hi @rshipman ,

Maybe you can connect RT with a SE like SE050E2 and use the keys inside the SE instead, you know , the keys in SE are trust provisioned out of factory by NXP.

Have a great day,
Kan
