Hello,

We have OTFAD1 set up to decrypt code from NOR flash connected to FlexSPI1 on the RT1165. Is it possible to temporarily disable encryption such that we could jump to a different region of NOR flash and execute unencrypted (plaintext) code?

Thanks,

Steve Schwartz-Fenwick

Hi,
Thank you for your interest in NXP Semiconductor products and for the opportunity to serve you.
1) Is it possible to temporarily disable encryption such that we could jump to a different region of NOR flash and execute unencrypted (plaintext) code?
-- After the ENCRYPT_XIP_EN fuse bit is blown, the ROM will boot the encrypted XiP image via the OTFAD, however, OTFAD allows the developers to set up 4 encrypted code areas into the application image, so the application image contains some plain code.

Hope this is clear.
Have a great day,
