MIMXRT1180-EVK How to use multiple ethernet connections using Zephyr

Hello

I am trying to setup my MIMXRT1180-EVK using 2 ethernet ports using Zephyr, one of which I will be using MODBUS to connect directly to the slave and the other to connect to the internet to access the NTP server to obtain time for my custom payload.
I am able to connect to the internet when connecting to the ENET4 port of the board, but when I connect another cable to ENET0, for the sake of MODBUS, and then try to assign an IP, it is not accepting it. I also tried to assign a MAC address to the port, yet it is not being detected in the Zephyr serial shell. I have enabled all the switch ports in the dtsi file. Also, I am unable to connect to the internet when connecting the ethernet cable to ENET0.
I am using Zephyr version 4.2 with sdk0.17.2

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me find a solution for this.

Feature requests related to Zephyr are currently supported through the official GitHub repository. You can create a new request through this link. Additionally, I've tried to find relevant resources for you. This Chinese documentation is similar to your process thus it is based on the RT1170-EVK. I hope this resource will be helpful for your project.
