I've been using this board for a month, but trying a new software it got bricked.

When I try to upload a working project this is the result:

I readed about MCU boot utility, but when I try access to the board the USB is not found, and shows this error:

Then I put the board in Serial downloader and I can upload the firmware, but this is not working.

With the Serial downloader and MCU boot utility I have this message:

I need to unlock this to continue working. Does anyone knows what is happening?

Thank you in advance.

Hello @daniJVV ,

Could you please change the MCU Device in MCU Boot Utility to i.MXRT117x and try again?

Hi @RaRo

I tried to debug a touch screen example that was working before this problem, and now there is no errors when uploading the firmware.

But the problem with USB-HID MCU Boot Utility continues.

Hello @RaRo

I got this message when I tried to connect with USB:

With UART I can connect, but I don't know which parameters to look at.
Is there something to check in any memory (boot image, eFuse...)?

Thank you for your help.

Hello @daniJVV,

Could you please try with the following steps?

  • First, move your SW1 to 0001 (Serial Downloader mode).
  • Secondly, place a jumper in position 5-6 in J38 to power the board trough J11.
  • Then, connect both J11 and J20 to your computer and open the NXP MCU Boot Utility.
  • After that, select the i.MXRT117x as your MCU Device.
  • Connect to ROM trough UART.
  • Then, check now if is detecting your USB-HID connection. Turn off the board and change the position of the jumper in J38 to position 3-4.
  • Finally, power up the board again only through J20, and check if your board is being detected.
