How to optimize RTC power consumption in i.MXRT1052?

Hello NXP,

      We are going to optimize the iRTC power consumption for i.MXRT1052, and prolong the service time for li-cell battery.

      Can you help to provide some tips ?

      Thanks very much.

 

       Add: we just know to switch the power mode to SNVS, but can't find the details how to optimize.

Thanks for your interest in NXP MIMXRT series!

To start with the conclusion, for the RT1052, the normal power consumption in SNVS mode should be around 20μA. This is the MCU's lowest power consumption mode. In AN12094, the specified measurement value is 14μA.

You can refer to the following two ANs for details.

2. https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN12085.pdf

Additionally, the power_switch demo in the SDK demonstrates how to enter and exit various low-power modes, serving as a good starting point.
