Documentation on using external debugger for MIMXRT1020 EVK?

Is there documentation available for bypassing the onboard debugger on the MIMXRT1020 EVK board?  My processor won't connect just by removing jumpers I've read about in the community here and would like to be sure I'm trying everything correctly.

Hello  Ellen Stacey ,

  It's very simple to use the external debugger in MIMXRT1021-EVK board.

  You just need to remove J27 and J28, then add your own debugger, eg JLINK to the j16 jtag interface.

 

You can find after use the external JLINK, I can find the ARM core, it means the external debugger works now.
