The MIMXRT1064 is a host controller connected to Murata's LBEE6ZZ1PY which is an 88W8987 based WiFi module. The wifi examples in MCUXpresso are for AzureWave's AW-CM358MA module which is also 88W8987 based. I just want to know whether those examples can work with Murata's module which is based on same chipset. Thanks!
If your module is also the 88W8987 which is the same as AW-CM358MA.
Then you also can use the SDK related code, just check your module related pin, whether it is the same as AW-CM358MA.
As I know, the SDK code can works for the 88W8987, in the code, change the macro to WIFI_88W8987_BOARD_AW_CM358MA.
Wish it helps you!

Kerry
Hello @kerryzhou , I checked the connections and they seem to be good. And I also included the macro WIFI_88W8987_BOARD_AW_CM358MA. I am getting "SDIO driver initialization failed" message in the debug console. Any idea what might be messing up?
Hi @prof__paradox ,
Check the module voltage configuration, as I know, the AW_CM358MA also have the settings, you can check the SDK related code readme:
Jumper settings for AzureWave AW-CM358-uSD Module:
- J2 1-2: 3.3V VIO_uSD (Power Supply from uSD connector)
- J4 1-2: VIO 1.8V (Voltage level of SDIO pins is 1.8V)
The hardware should be reworked according to the Hardware Rework Guide for MIMXRT1060-EVK and AW-CM358-uSD in document Hardware Rework Guide for EdgeFast BT PAL.
The pin connect for UART HCI as the following table,
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PIN NAME | AW-CM358-USD | I.MXRT1060 | PIN NAME OF RT1060 | GPIO NAME OF RT1060
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UART_TXD | J10(pin 4) | J22(pin 1) | LPUART3_RXD | GPIO_AD_B1_07
UART_RXD | J10(pin 2) | J22(pin 2) | LPUART3_TXD | GPIO_AD_B1_06
UART_RTS | J10(pin 6) | J23(pin 3) | LPUART3_CTS | GPIO_AD_B1_04
UART_CTS | J10(pin
GND | J6(pin 7) | J25(pin 7) | GND | GND
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, your replaced module also need to use the same configuration and voltage.
Best Regards,
kerry
Okay, Thank you very much!
I'll recheck everything that you said and update you on the progress.
You are welcome!
If you still have questions about it, please kindly let me know.
