video type of "WMV" can not be play

  When in my imx6 board,i use fsl-release-bsp-L4.1.15_2.1.0 to make image.I intall soft decode of gst-libav plugin and our imx6 board still have VPU-based video decoder plugin,but both of soft decode and hardware decode can not support to play video type of "WMV".

  So,how can support to play a video file type of WMV? is any another plugin need to install?  how can i get the this plugin?

Hello Max,

I found the release note which described special codec was need for WMV play.

All video codecs are accelerated with the Video Processing Unit (VPU) except the WMV7/8 decoder and the Sorenson H.263 decoder.

All audio codecs are optimized by Freescale.

WebM is enhanced by Freescale codecs.

ASF, WMV, WMA, and AACPLUS need special codec package to be installed. <== Here !!

MJPEG subtypes and MJPEG_2000 and MJPEG_B are not supported.

MJPEG only supports YUV420 and YUV422 (horizontal) color formats.

H.264 TS streams do not support seek and are only tested with limited streams.

Please apply to local Freescale FAE.

Windows Media Components Final Product Licensee should be approved prior to distribution.
