uboot, linux, root fs for desktop display in QSB

Dear All,

I compiled uboot, linux sources and able to boot from it using uSD and NFS.

Once I enable the VGA display, here is TUX symbol display only there. how to get the desktop kind of display in that, do I need to update rootfs?

the current rootfs I have taken from LTIB contents (one that came along with KIT).

I want to check some demo applications on the board. How to proceed on this?

I am assuming you are talking about window manager (WM) when you say desktop. There are two flavors of it in the LTIB distribution that I have used: Matchbox and Enlightenment WM.
You will also need the X Windows, GNOME and their dependencies. I suggest building your package selection “FSL gnome release package”. This by default selects everything that you need for a WM and bundles the Matchbox with it.
