spin_lock_irqsave is failing in IMX53 board

Hi,

I am using spin_lock_irqsave call. but when i check the spin_lock condition with spin_is_locked, it is returning failure..

I am using default IMX53 configuration. working on linux2.6.35 kernel.

Can any one help me to know what could be the issue.
