secure erase partition on imx8mp

hello 

i created an encrypted partition on my imx8mp. i would like to be able to erase its content before update and then using the partition again when its empty. from what i read dd or shred commands work well with hd but not on flash/emmc. is there a method for securely erasing a partition or files on imx8mp emmc

Hi,

If the encrypted partition is not mounted, should be no issue for erasing, like using fdisk.
