When running LTIB 9.1.1 on Ubuntu 11.10

I get the following error when I run:

./ltib -m config  OR if I run ./ltib

Here is the error in /opt/freescale/ltib/host_config.log

rpmdb: --force-debian: unknown option
Died at ./ltib line 2346.
traceback:
 main::setup_rpmdb:2346
  main::check_rpm_setup:2409
   main::host_checks:1429
    main:542

I looked at the suggestions here:

http://forums.freescale.com/t5/i-MX-Microprocessors/iMX25-install-ltib/td-p/49730

and here:

http://forums.freescale.com/t5/i-MX-Microprocessors/Ltib/m-p/57697

None of them seem to work for me,

Any clues?

Hi Katerina,

                 If you have managed to pass this error, then, can you open a new thread with your current issue, attaching the config_log, by posting it in a respective Group, say for example, if you are using i.MX53, then post in the respective group in imxcommunity.org.

Also post here, hoe you got past of your previous error, as it would be helpful for other members in the imxcommunity.org.

Lubuntu 12.04 x32, IMX.508, LTIB 9.1.1 (I guess, was included to reader SDK)

Hi Katerina,

Just list out the above mentioned,

OS Version, Board You are using, Bootloader used.

Try this link http://www.imxdev.org/wiki/index.php?title=FAQ.

It seems, you are using a different, unsupported version of some package......

I was able to get past this issue by applying the patch I mentioned above.

i.e. manually modifying those diff lines above.

All,

The problem was solved in the main line latest LTIB.

The trick now is to integrate it into the existing 9.1.1 LTIB version supplied by Freescale.

Here is the patch on the mailine LTIB site.

http://cvs.savannah.gnu.org/viewvc/ltib/ltib?root=ltib&r1=1.76&r2=1.77
