Dear all,
I'm currently trying to bring up a board based on imx sabresd quad. I have been changing the DDR3 reference to 4 memory alliance AS4C256M16D3L chips.
When we are trying to use the DDR stress test tool over USB OTG, i'm getting an error "ROM write failed" with a random register after IOMUXC_SW_PAD_CTL_GRP_DDRMODE_CTL.
In this case, the board resets.
Could it be related to a bad software configuration or an hardware issue?

Hi Cerveau
more likely this error is hardware, caused by usb malfunction,
so ROM fails to execute SDP WRITE REGISTER command.
One can try it with baremetal SDK usb test
"MX6_PLATFORM_SDK "
https://community.freescale.com/docs/DOC-94139
Also DDR stress can be run with jtag.
Best regards
igor

Dear Igor,
Thank you very much.
Indeed I was facing an issue with the OS, using VirtualBox and we should NEVER use it for this purpose. :smileyhappy:
Use a regular windows XP or later see.
Could be nice to have the same tool on Linux OS. :smileyhappy:
