modbus on yocto kernel for imx6

Hi

I need to inlcude the modbus via uart 485 feature on my custom board.

My board is based on imx6 and kernel generated by Yocto project.

Is it possible to include that feature in the kernel directly by menu configuration?

Is there any document or manual or application note for that?
