micros-d to emmc - imx93

Hey,

i saw on imx93 that only SD1 supports eMMC 5.1.

i want to connect another eMMC memory on my board that i want that the imx will be able to communicate with (will behave like an external extra memory). i don't want sd card

is it possible to convert the sd interface to eMMC interface somehow? if yes, any recommended IC?

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in NXP Semiconductor products,

You could integrate an eMMC in another USDHC interface but would be limited to 4-bit bus width and also HS400 since there isn't another STROBE input, just in USDHC1 this is possible. This way you wouldn't use all the features of an eMMC and I would recommend to go with an SD.
