mfgtool 1.6.2.0322 fails when sending firmware

Dear all

When using the mfgtool 1.6.2.0322 to update the flash image on my iMX28 board, the process always fails at some random point during sending of firmware. The error message is "Updater Error 0xffffff (-1) -"

Attachments show the following:

• Screenshot from mfgtool after failure
• Debug log from device
• Screenshot showing PC and OS
• Screenshot showing HID driver

Does anyone have an idea what I need to do differently in order make this tool work?

Hi Emil

reason may be that mfg tool firmware should be rebuilt for new board

with updated ddr settings (in bootlets ../boot_prep/init-mx28.c). Steps are

described in attached Linux Guide sect.2.5 Building the Manufacturing Firmware
