linux crashing in reset_ctrl_regs in hw_breakpoints.c

Linux is crashing with an invalid instruction in arch/arm/kernel/hw_breakpoiint.c (reset_crtl_regs) for an i.MX6 solo.

I see calls to smp_processor_id() and several assembly mcr/mrc instruction to the breakpoint coprocessor.

Has anyone seen something similar?

Thank you

Dennis

Hi Jimmy.

I'm using Freescale's L3.0.35_3.0.0_121207 SDL bsp.

I have also installed the 3.0.1 and 3.0.3 patches.

Thank you,

Dennis

We've not seen this before.  Which board are you using?  And can you describe what is happening in the system when the crash occurs?  Are you booting or running a specific app or do it just occur randomly or ...?  Thanks for any additional details you are able to provide.

Regards,

Ragan
