Hi everyone,
I placed a iwl4965 into the mini pcie slot and power on my MX6Q SABRE SD board. After I entered linux,
I can find it by 'lspci':
root@linaro-ubuntu-desktop:~# lspci
00:00.0 PCI bridge: Device 16c3:abcd (rev 01)
01:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN Network Connection (rev 61)
But it seems not to work, when I type 'ifconfig',it shows:
root@linaro-ubuntu-desktop:~# ifconfig
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:04:9f:02:cd:2e

Where can I find its firmware? How to use?
Thanks in advance!

I am having the same issue.
The FW file 'iwlwifi-4965-2.ucode', no matter where I put it, the driver does not seem to want to load the file
(/lib/firmware, lib/firmware/3.10.7/, etc)
You can locate the firmware from "linux-firmware" (git clone http://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git)
Hi Curt,
I downloaded the firmware and placed it to /lib/firmware/, the wlan is working well now, thanks!
Hi Xiaoqiang Yang
I download the firmware too. After I entered linux ,when I type "iwconfig", it shows:
wlan0 IEEE 802.11abgn ESSID:off/any
Mode:Managed Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=15 dBm
Retry long limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Encryption key:off
Power Management:off
sit0 no wireless extensions.
lo no wireless extensions.
eth0 no wireless extensions.
Does it work well ? How can I test it, could you tell me ?
