imx8m plus SD boot mode without changing BOOT_MODE[3:0] config

Hi NXP Team,

By default our system with MIMX8ML8 Is in MMC boot mode as BOOT_MODE[3:0] is configured to 0010 by HW strapping. 

Is there any way to put the IMX8ML plus to SD boot mode without changing the  BOOT_MODE[3:0] pins? Any fallback options if MMC doesn't have a proper image?

If the hardware design is correct, the SD/MMC manufacture mode will be working.

I think it is possible, but we don't have examples or documentation about that.

You have to change the bootflow command on your board to determine the source that you want to boot.
