imx8m mini evk camera not working with imx-linux-sumo 4.14 yocto build

I have imx8m mini evk and official nxp mipi csi camera board connected through mini SAS converter.

I built bsp using imx-linux-sumo branch, kernel version 4.14.98

To build this linux, I have followed imx yocto project guide , and changed only one thing. While initializing the repo,

instead of the above branch, I have used imx-linux-sumo and imx-4.14.98-2.0.0_ga.xml and the I have built fsl-image-qt5-validation-imx image.

Now, the problem is, when I run the below command ,

I see the above output, and then nothing happens. I have a monitor connection over hdmi, but I don't see the stream from camera.

Also when I try to access camera from opencv, this is the output I get

and it get's struck in that statement and never comes back.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello john_wick,

The sumo branch was not tested, try to use rocko, and you see everything works well.

Thanks for you response. Our target here is to build with linux kernel 4.14. That is the approved kernel version in our organization. Rocko branch has kernel 4.9, with is not what we are looking for.

Please let us know if we can pursue any other way to achieve this.
