In U-boot code, splash screen (default NXP Logo) we were able to see on the HDMI screen thro' Adapter provided by NXP.
but, we observed one issue.
- During Power on/off through (on/off switch on the imx8MM mini board), the NXP splash screen logo does not come up consistently. Almost every time it misses appearance on the screen but we observe Linux Penguin logo every time consistently.
- Once the system is powered up, and if we do manual 'reset' button on board, or from linux-$ reboot cmd then the splash screen is always visisble after reboot.So this behaviour is not understood clearly so far.
- if we stop the boot up process (say press ctrl-C) and get to u-boot prompt then also NXP splash screen is visible always.
Power on/off (power recycle) is the usual way of starting the system, so this inconsistent behavior will be an issue for us going forward. please let us know any solutions or reasons of this behavior.
At present, we are using the following items:
Imx8mm Mini EVK board, NXP provided HDMI Adapter and its SAS cable and we have a 21" LCD display screen (Benq make). We do not have MIPI display with us.
