Hello,
I'm using imx6ull board and have built a yocto project by setting bitbake fsl-image-machine-test. And I want to use mfgtool to burn files to imx6ull's nand. The cfg.ini is as follows:
And the file's location has no problem. As for the mfgtool.vbs, I also had changed:
Set wshShell = CreateObject("WScript.shell")
wshShell.run "mfgtool2.exe -c ""linux"" -l ""NAND Flash"" -s ""sxuboot=sabreauto"" -s ""sxdtb=sabreauto"" -s ""6ulluboot=14x14evk"" -s ""6ulldtb=14x14-evk"" -s ""board=sabreauto"" -s ""nand=nand"" -s ""nanddtb=gpmi-weim"" -s ""part_uboot=0"" -s ""part_kernel=1"" -s ""part_dtb=2"" -s ""part_rootfs=3"" "
Set wshShell = Nothing
When I clicked the program's start, it showed:
How can I deal with it? Hope your help!
Hi Ida,
The Demo images you need as following:
L4.1.15_2.0.0_iMX6ULL Demo
https://www.nxp.com/webapp/sps/download/preDownload.jsp
i.MX 6UltraLite Linux Binary Demo Files and Linux BSP Documentation
Have a nice day

Hi Rita ,
I used the L4.1.14_2.0.0_ga's demo for imx6ull and burned the image to nand by uuu & mfgtool. Both of them can't burn successfully. And the log was as follows:
As for mfgtool, it would get stuck at "jump OS linux".
Have you made any progress?
Best Regards !
Ida
which version of mfgtool are you using?
Hi Rita,
Thank you for your reply.
① I'm using the mfgtool for L4.1.15_2.0.0_ga_imx6ul and using the mfgtool-yocto-mx-evk-nand.vbs to burn the image. The files I used are from this demo.
② As for the uuu(1.2.89) , the files are also from the demo. And I did "$ sudo ./uuu example_kernel_nand.uuu". The file "example_kernel_nand.uuu" is from L4.14.98_ga's demo. I got these demo from the official website.
③ It seems that the latest release (1.3.89) of uuu can support the nand with nandbcb command. But at present , the uboot can not support this new command. There will be some change about uboot for this situation?
Best Regards!
Ida
Hi Ida,
The NAND rework need to remove the QSPI(U303), C318, R324, and SHORT the R324.
For the L4.1.15_2.0.0_ga_imx6ul you can use the mfgtool-yocto-mx-evk-nand.vbs to burn the image.
For the L4.14.98_ga there are mfgtool and uuu for you to use. Manufacturing Toolkit for Linux L4.9.88_2.0.0 i.MX6,7 BSP. uuu you can use the 1.2.35.
Have a nice day

Hi Rita,
Thank you for your reply.
Actually I have try the mfgtool that you said to burn. But I can't do it successfully. Can you help me check my operation steps?
(1) L4.1.15_2.0.0_ga
① Download the L4.1.15_2.0.0_ga_imx6ul from official website and change nothing.
② Open the mfgtool-yocto-mx-evk-nand.vbs and use it directly.
(2) L4.9.88_2.0.0_ga
① Download from official website. Delete the zImage & imx6ullevk-gpmi-weim.dtb & u-boot-imx6ullevk_nand.imx and use my files which have changed to the name of the deleted files.
② Open the mfgtool-yocto-mx-evk-nand.vbs and use it to burn image.
And what is your test hardware environment?
And where can I get the 1.2.35 uuu?
Best Regards!
Ida
