Hi,

if i use only one GPIO at 3.3V in the IMX6Q , can it drive to  3mA ?

I read the data sheet and it is not clear from their whether it is possible.

Regards, Barak

Hello,

from the linked below Community thread :

The GPIO buffer load capacity is not specified in units of current. It is specified in terms of buffer

drive strength or output impedance; refer to the Section "GPIO Output Buffer Impedance" of the i.MX6

Data Sheet(s).

what is value of GPIO source/sink current per pin on i.MX6?

IBIS models may be used to estimate current.

I looked at i.MX6Q IBIS file - 3 mA may be provided by i.MX6, assuming proper

GPIO drive strength and external impedance are selected.

Also, the total load current and power dissipation should be taken into account when calculating the

GPIO power budget.

Have a great day,
Yuri
