imx51 sd1_cmd no signal

Dear Sir,

I'd MP product for my customer from 2013/4 to now, it's work find.

But now I'm fix some fail main board.

I find the main board can't boot.

1. Using OTG to check the power status, PC can find a new device "SE Blank ELVIS".

2. No connect OTG, and power on, the debug port no any string shown. (SD boot card is good)

3. Using scope check the SD1_CLK, it has signal shown.

4. Check SD1_CMD, no any signal shown.

Would you help to tell us what's happen ??

How about the boot (power on) steps ?

Where point we need to check it ?

We need your best help to teach us to fix some fail board.

We had check some signal between working & fail board.

Hi Johny

if this is just one/two boards, issue may be caused by poor

contact, please check SD connector and pull-up resistor to CMD line.

This status board has 37 pcs. (same issue & signal)

I’d check the SD connector & pull-up resister, all right.

And had check the SD_CMD circuit line (i.mx51 pin to connecter pin), it is connected, no broken.

Please help to clarify which part was fail ?

Are there some point to check to clarify ?

Dear Igor,

We had MP for 5~6K. (from 2013/4 ~ 2014 now)

All board were working fine until now.

But has some board fail, and look like same issue. (37 pcs)

These fail board just only from manufactory to test member, not used.

SD card no problem, it can working on the good board.

It’s running Android 2.3.4.

suggest to run DDR test for these boards

find new ddr parameters and modify with them uboot/board/freescale/mx51_bbg/flash_header.S,

rebuild image.

If this will not help, then attach jtag and check fuses on both good and bad boards

(they should be identical).

Dear Igor,

I’d using Mfgtools to check the bad & good board.

The good board running MX_UPDATE & UTP_UPDATE, all operators complete.

The bad board running MX_UPDATE operators complete.

Running UTP_UPDATE shown :

” Operation is timeout.,failed to run command: type="find" body="Updater" file="" timeout="180" onError="" text="" “

The bad board can’t partition SD card.

this error may becaused by wrong DDR configuration

for some boards.

Please run DDR test for these boards

Thanks for your reply.

But I can’t run the DDR_Stress_Tester.exe on Win7 (x64) & WinXP (x86).

The system shown error & need to close this program.

So, I don’t know how to running for the DDR test…

Would you help me ASAP ?
