HI,
In our design, we have voltage monitoring with watchdog(max16002) for processor voltages(5V, 3.3V, VDDARM, VDDR1V5), this voltages are generated by LDOs. In voltage monitoring watchdog any voltage dip means watchdog has to trigger.
is their any way in processor that voltage level can be made dip so that watchdog can be tested?.
one way is hardware voltage injecting to input of voltage monitoring ICs but we are looking in software level that in processor can be loaded so that voltages levels are dip.
Hi Igor,
Whether can we find any technical reference/calculation to do high loading processor(timing of video) to dip some voltage level.
we are tried to play some 15min of video file and monitor the voltage, I didn't find any dip in voltage.
Hi Prasad
unfortunately from processor side there are no ways to make
that voltage levels can be dip. In general one can attach resistor with low
value and try to toggle it from software. High loading processor (like running video)
also may lower processor voltages.
Best regards
igor
