iMX8MQ got stuck during booting rootfs

Hi,

I'm tring to use NFS to mount rootfs at iMX8MQEVK. The images used could boot from emmc normally. When I downloaded the image & dtb by DHCP and mounted the rootfs using NFS, the boot log showed that the board mounted successfully. But it was strange that the rootfs would get stuck as follows:1.png

Dose anyone have idea about this problem?

   Thank you !

Hi igorpadykovkaran.gajjar@volansystech.com

I tried to mount a simplest rootfs made by myself and it succeeded.

So I think there are too many services that need to be started to cause this stuck.

Thanks & Best Regards

Ida

Hi igor ,

   Thank you for reply.

I was working on this document before. The images were demo except the dtb.

Because the board was made by ourselves according to the official design, and we could boot it from emmc or sd normally. What I changed at dts was " pcie0 disabled ".

But when it used NFS, there would be this problem. Do you have any idea ?

Best Regards,

Ida

Hi Ida J,

We are able to NFS boot the iMX8MQEVK using the below link:

Boot I.MX6q SABRE over the Network using TFTP and NFS

You can use the binary image as suggested by Igor.

Hi Ida

for narrowing down issue (if this is caused by custom board)

recommended to try to reproduce issue on nxp reference board

with demo images.

Best regards
igor
