iMX8MP v4l2h264enc default bitrate ?

Dear VPU Encoding Experts,

I would like to know how to identify the default bitrate of H264 hardware accelerated encoding of iMX8MP if not explicitly set in gst-launch command?

Please accept my apologies for the delayed reply.

Based on the i.MX VPU Application Programming Interface Linux Reference Manual for a bitRate value 0 there is no rate control in encode operation.

In addition to that for video encoder bitrate can be set up to 40Mbps, as we see in the following table.

Finally, I will attach the VPU Application Reference Manual, here you will find more information about VPU encoding.
