Greetings,

we're evaluating power management capabilities of NXP's Windows 10 IoT Core BSP for iMX8 Mini EVK (W1860_1_0_1_IMX-IOTCORE-B191011). Power management is claimed to be supported, but powercfg reports only

administrator@minwinpc1 C:\Data\Users\administrator>powercfg /A

The following sleep states are available on this system:

Hibernate
Fast Startup

The following sleep states are not available on this system:
Standby (S1)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.
Standby (S2)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.
Standby (S3)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.
Standby (S0 Low Power Idle)
Hybrid Sleep
Standby (S3) is not available.

For Hibernate, we're unable to receive positive results on EVK so far

1. First attempt to enable hibernation fails:

administrator@minwinpc C:\Data>powercfg /H ON
Hibernation failed with the following error: There is not enough space on the disk.

The following items are preventing hibernation on this system.
The system could not create the hibernation file.  The specific error code is 0xc000007f.

2. Increased the size of the MainOS partition to ~3GB.
Hibernation was enabled and hibernation file was created successfully.

3. The attempt to hibertate the EVK fails:

administrator@minwinpc C:\Data>shutdown /h
System will hibernate in 0 seconds...
Hibernate failed, 0x00000002

Could someone please advise how/if Hibernate is supposed to work?

Is there any other power management functionality available or planned?

Thank you in advance.
