iMX7ULP Power-On-Reset v.s. Pin RESET

HI ALL,

I'm using iMX7ULP to check how it works with eMMC.

While I tried pulling up the PIEZO_PWM pin which renders DDR mode for boot-up, it failed booting.

After getting failed, it just kept hanging in there. I couldn't fix it up through POR but Pin reset by toggling RESET 0/1.

I'm wondering why's that... cuz I found out from the datasheet as follows.

If it worked fine as mentioned above that POR would reset boot pins, it shouldn't've got this situation I suppose....

So could anyone tell me what's the difference between POR, PIN reset, RESET0/1?

Thanks.

Xinsun

RESET0 is the Power-On Reset (POR) signal for the whole SoC, whereas RESET1 only resets the A7 core.

Hi @XinsunCHEN

So we understood from your statement that, After toggling the reset pin you are able to Boot.

This seems Power-up sequence-related issue.

Please confirm the reset pin is for i.MX7 not for other interfaces or power.

Mrudang
