Hi

in the datasheet of iMX6 is written: VDD_ARM_IN and VDD_SOC_IN may be supplied from the same source.

in the datasheet iMX7 is missing this kind of iformation.

Is it possible to supply both rails (VDD_ARM and VDD_SOC) from the same source?

Regards

Lubomir

Hi Yuri,

thanks for answer.

If the voltage VDD_ARM is set to 1.1V then iMX7 can operate with max frequency 1GHz.

1.1V is still in recommended range for VDD_SOC.

I think that typ 1.1V is ok for VDD_SOC rail.

What is your opinion?

Regards

Lubomir

Hello,

Generally - yes, both suppliers may be provided from the same source,

but please pay attention on operating range specs in Table 9 of i.MX7 Datasheet(s).

Allowed voltage ranges for different modes are not the same for VDD_ARM_IN and VDD_SOC_IN.
The same source may be applied for run mode at 800 MHz and  below.
