iMX7 SNVS mode exit without use of manual switch at MX7ONOFF

Hi,

We're using SOM which is based on iMX7 Dual for our project.

In which when the input source is removed which enters SNVS(+RTC) mode and the source is back which requires a low signal(using manual Switch) on MX7ONOFF which will transit SoC from SNVS to Normal mode.

Is there a way where we can avoid manual switch and as a power source is back it should boot without pressing a manual switch?

One option would be cut off SNVS supply and only run RTC when in no input source(this is aper their document).

But It'd be better with SNVS+RTC and boot without pressing a power(MX7ONOFF) button.

Application Note: Boot i.MX7 without pressing the power button

Thanks.

The only wake-up events from SNVS mode to RUN mode for the i.MX7Dual processor are ONOFF button press, RTC event or tamper event. So, if the requirement is to wake-up the processor from SNVS mode to RUN mode when main power is applied without pressing the ONOFF button manually, a simple external circuit that provides approx. 750ms long Low pulse to the ONOFF pin or one of TAMPER pins once the main power is applied should be provided.

Best Regards,
Artur
