What should be the max  length of HDMI trace if we are ensuring that trace lengths are  matching within spec.

Hello Abhishek Singh,

The HDMI standard specification does not define a maximum trace length, it just defines impedance, so it can be relatively long unlike DDR for example when it’s much more constrained.

I hope this helps!

Thanks for feedback .

Currently my trace length is  326 mil. If this  much length is okay. What preacution / care  i should  take for routing these  traces.

Hello Abhishek Singh,

From what I understand that trace length should nor cause problems provided that the impedance is correct. I would also check the HDMI standard for more guidance and as with any trace it’s important to make sure that the EMI is controlled by having a ground signal parallel to the signal trace.

I hope this helps!
