Hi NXP Technical Support Team,

I am working on how to boot the custom Linux(rootfs) from sd-card on MYS-6ULX-IoT-EVK(iMX6 board). Can you please let me know the instructions to copy the UBoot, Kernel (zImage) and Device Tree Blob (dtb) images into an sd-card?

Also please let me know, how to instruct the existing nand u-boot loader to boot Linux system from sd-card?

For your information, I am using VM Ubuntu-16.04.5-desktop-amd64. I have downloaded Yocto toolchain sdk, fsl-release-yocto, Yocto-downloads, MYiR-iMX-Linux and MYiR-iMX-Uboot source code downloaded from the website http://down.myir-tech.com/MYS-6ULX/

For your information, my build “bitbake core-image-base” went well and images got generated at tmp/deploy/images/imx6qsabresd and attached screenshot of the images.

Regards,

Kalyan

Hello KalyanAgepati,

You might see the Yocto user guide that includes how to burn your sdcard to start using the MX6ULEVK,

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/user-guide/IMXLXYOCTOUG.pdf

For your board you need check with your vendor.
