iMX6 - MFG-Tool firmware u-boot compiled in plugin mode

Hi,

We are using imx6Q our custom platform based on sabresd platform for our development with Linux 3.10.17_1.0.0-GA BSP.

Currently we are trying to program the binaries using "imx-3.10.17-1.0.2-mfg-tools" MFG-Tool.

We would like to know, Is it possible to use firmware (of MFG-tool) u-boot.imx in plugin mode?  or should we compile the MFG-Tool firmware u-boot binary in DCD mode?

Since our working u-boot.imx file is in plugin mode only.

I think it may be used in both modes, if properly compiled.
