iMX53QSB rev B and 2.6.38+ kernels

Hi all,

I've got an issue with the iMX53QSB board and any 2.6.38 kernel that is claimed to support it. The issue is with USB host controller. I have only one mouse connected to the upper port. The last kernel I tried is the release https://launchpad.net/linaro-landing-team-freescale/trunk/2011.09

Hello there,

I have a few DA9053 based boards and USB is working OK with 2.6.38 (my base is the linaro kernel (natty) compiled for Ubuntu Oneiric which should be linaro12.02).

I didn't try audio nor the internal LCD interface though. (But i see pulseaudio is starting correctly and showing volume controls, etc. so..)

I do plan on buying some another qsb but not being able to run 2.6.38 is a big blocker to me (the only kernel that works really good for me with this board so far).

I'd like to have the new models because the DA9053-based don't have RTC battery support unless ugly hardware hacks are done to the board. Any news on having 2.6.38 working with them? Patches anywhere?

I think everybody use 2.6.35 kernel. Also you can port mc34708 driver from 2.6.35 to higher kernel versions.

In other words NOONE yet did not fix that bug in neither 2.6.38 nor kernels with higher version? What then can be proposed?

Do you have QSB with mc34708 (Ripley) PMIC ? Driver for this PMIC is broken in 2.6.38 kernel, so USB controller (and audio, btw) does not work.
