Hi,

The LCD can work in kernel, but always lose the last pixel of each line. It is normal in uboot with the same parameters, and I have tried diffrent parameters.

I hope to know what causes the last pixel lost?

Thanks

This problem is resolved with the patch. Thanks a lot.

I tried to find this patch on the official website but failed(I found some patches but not involve the patch you attached), and I hope to know how to get all the patches for imx53 BSP. Could you please supply the way to get them?

Thanks

From the name of the patch, which is "0001-fix-ipu-display-bug-which-drop-the-last-column-20120625-raysun.patch.zip" I would guess it was made on that date for a specific customer called "raysun" (or by an author with that name). Searching through the 1200 patches that the official releases apply to the distribution kernel, that patch is NOT included, even though the date is in the middle of all of the other "official" patches.

Guanqiong Xie, can you please tell us where this patch came from, and if there are other useful ones we don't know about and can't get otherwise?

Google finds this patch in an Electrolux Refrigerator!

http://electroluxbr.opensoftwarerepository.com/web/guest/home?p_p_id=20&p_p_lifecycle=0&p_p_state=ma...

There's a lot of other "interesting" patches in there as well. About half of them are Freescale "ENGR00nn" patches, but the other half aren't.

You can view and download the entire Freescale official Linux tree from here:

http://git.freescale.com/git/cgit.cgi/imx/linux-2.6-imx.git/

The last supported i.MX53 release is this one:

http://git.freescale.com/git/cgit.cgi/imx/linux-2.6-imx.git/log/?h=imx_2.6.35_maintain

It does not contain this "last pixel" patch. I have no idea where that came from, or what version of kernel source it applied to, but by the look of the Electrolux code it looks like it applied to 2.6.35 and it also looks like they were using an i.MX51.

You can download the last software package from "i.MX53 Current Software Updates and Releases" here:

http://www.nxp.com/products/microcontrollers-and-processors/arm-processors/i.mx-applications-process...

From memory that contains a standard Linux distribution, plus 1200 patches to apply on top of it.

But not this "last column" patch.
