[iMX 8M Mini] Need to understand how data is being captured (CSI) and dump data to DSI interface

We have purchased an iMX 8M Mini Evaluation Kit, and we would like to understand the scaling function in SW. It will cater to our latency and FPS requirements.

1. How does iMX chip scale the video?
2. Are there multiple algorithms for video scaling? Can we know the differentiation factors?
3. Are there ways to optimize?
4. Are there any performance numbers for aspect ratio/resolution translation?
5. How do we achieve graphics and video overlay?

Regards,

Varun

i.mx8mm has 2D GPU can support scaling,  so we don't scale the video with SW, which doesn't have good performance enough, so we don't evaluate scaling by SW, ths gpu also support overlay, for more detailed information, you can refer to the reference manual and graphic user guide from official website

Thank you for your response.

We have some more questions:
1. How do we create a yocto build to enable GPU?
2. Can you share some commands for this, or please direct us to the source to which we can refer.
