We are using NXP i.MX 8X and ADV7280A-M with MIPI CSI-2 for analog video.
Yocto Scarthgap, Linux 6.6, Qt/QML 6.8.2.
There are two adv7180.c drivers.
i2c/adv7180.c and platform/mxc/capture/adv7180.c
Which of the two drivers is more appropriate in this case?
And why?
Any others we should be aware of?
Should the driver work 100% as is, or are patches needed to get it to work now?
What reference kit is available for i.MX 8X with ADV7280A-M?
Or is there a reference kit with i.MX 8X and another popular analog video ADC?
Thank you

I think you should use this driver
https://github.com/nxp-imx/linux-imx/blob/lf-6.6.y/drivers/media/i2c/adv7180.c
ADV7280 doesn't be tested by imx8qxp, maybe you can refer to this link
