i.mx6 CSI->IC->MEM gamma correction possible?

I see that gamma correction has been implemented in the image converter (IC) for display colour correction purposes.  Is it possible to use this same image converter functionality to perform gamma correction of an incoming CSI capture stream?  

If so, what changes would be needed to implement this?
