i.mx28 battery charger, NTC temperature monitoring?

Hello,

Typically Li-Ion batteries are only allowed to be charged in a limited temperature span (e.g. 0 to 45C). Can this be enforced by the integrated i.mx28 battery charger somehow? A software solution reading an A/D pin could be acceptable, but a hardware solution would be preferred. I can not find any pin designated for temperature measurements on the battery pack.

Best

Martin

HI Martin

i.MX28 has not hardware charging thermal management for battery, for charger usage one can look

at attached application note  AN4199 "Using the i.MX28 Power Management Unit and

Battery Charger Getting Started with Power Supply" sect.5 Battery Charging Subsystem

Best regards

igor
