i.MX93 EVK: No Mouse/Keyboard Input via USB

Hello NXP Community,

I’m working with the i.MX93 EVK and have connected a MIPI DSI-to-HDMI adapter board for video output. Upon booting from eMMC, I see four penguin icons in the upper left corner of the display, a Linux terminal icon on the top left, and a timer on the top right corner. However, neither my USB mouse nor keyboard is recognized:

• The mouse’s LED never lights up, indicating it’s not even getting power.
• There is no response from the keyboard, either.

I can still communicate with the board via a serial terminal (PuTTY), but I’d like to get a full graphical environment running with mouse and keyboard input. Has anyone encountered this behavior? Are there kernel configurations or device tree changes needed to enable USB peripherals on this EVK ? and if so what are these changes?
Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Could you please share which BSP version you are using? Are you using a custom or pre-built BSP? By default you should be able to use these peripherals without any modification.

If you still seeing this issue please try to re-flash the image.

I am using the pre-built BSP and the version is 6.6.52.
"LF_v6.6.52-2.2.0_images_IMX93EVK"

I couldn't reproduce the issue in board SCH-51961 REV B5, please confirm that the USB adapter or connection to your peripherals is correct.

I resolved the issue ! the problem was not the BSP, but it was the power. The supply I was using was not delivering enough power for the peripherals. By using another supply it worked.
