I am using IMX8X QuadXplus processor with a DDR3-L memory and I am trying to test ECC mechanism. The objective is to verify that errors are properly detected and corrected, at platform boot-up time.
I browsed the community forum but I did not find any document or answer that might help, neither did I in the IMX8X datasheet document (i.MX 8DualX/8DualXPlus/8QuadXPlus Applications Processor Reference Manual, Rev. 0, 05/2020) nor in the AN13566_ECC_on_i.MX_8_Serie.pdf, Rev. 0, 04/2022 document.
I am looking for information about use cases and detailed sequences to exercise ECC error injection and detection, with appropriate accesses to i.MX8X registry.
Can you provide us with this?
