i.MX8M mini - QSPI/FlexSPI as Master <===>  FPGA - QSPI/FlexSPI as Slave.

Dear Sir,

Our project want to use i.MX8M mini - QSPI/FlexSPI as Master mode,

and FPGA - QSPI/FlexSPI as Slave.

Could you help us: the information on S.W. reference code/reference manual.

Thanks,

Hi Sherlock

example can be found in linux/arch/arm64/boot/dts/freescale/fsl-imx8mm-ddr4-val.dts

fsl-imx8mm-ddr4-val.dts\freescale\dts\boot\arm64\arch - linux-imx - i.MX Linux kernel

fsl-flexspi.c\spi-nor\mtd\drivers - linux-imx - i.MX Linux kernel

qspi driver is described in sect.3.5 Quad Serial Peripheral Interface (QuadSPI)

Linux Manual included in Linux L4.14.98_2.0.0 Documentation

Igor,

The flexspi driver uses the spi_nor structure which is a memory specific data structure. How can the fsl-flexspi.c driver be used to implement the simple hardware configuration mentioned by Sherlock on an i.MX8M Mini?

Tyler

if it is fpga it can imitate memory.

Igor,
Do you has this QSPI interface example or reference design by FPGA for this discussion? or can share more about the imitate memory method?

Thanks
