I have i.MX8M Plus EVK. Could you provide information about the coinstantaneity of the PPS signals between two EVKs, which both are enabled IEEE 1588 functions and both are synchronized with PTP? By referring to Figure 11-69 in chapter 11.6.2.10.1.1 of the application reference manual, PPS signal seems to be generated by counting the internal clock, and counting up starts after acquiring the current time. I am wondering if the trigger of the counter or timing of the current time acquisition between two EVKs are different, or not in case the PTP synchronization is enabled on both of them. I suspect it may vary within the PPS cycle.
I am considering using the PPS signal of IEEE 1588 functions as a camera shutter trigger, which needs the precise shutter synchronization.
