Hi,
For the i.MX8M Mini processor EVK, the power rail VDD_MIPI_1P2 take the input fom PMIC BD71847AMWV, LDO6 1.2V output (net name- VDD_PHY_1V2).
MIPI supply in my custom board design works on 1.8V (VDD_MIPI_1P8), as per understanding
- VDD_MIPI_1P2 supply for MIPI interfaces will not be needed so can be kept as unconnected nets.
- are there any other internal processor blocks that will need 1.2V supply?
- I need to interface an ethernet PHY which needs 1.2V and 230mA current. can I route this supply from PMIC BD71847AMWV ?
Please confirm on above and advise on above queries.
Thanks,
Dhara
Hi Dhara

right
- are there any other internal processor blocks that will need 1.2V supply?
no other blocks
- I need to interface an ethernet PHY which needs 1.2V and 230mA current. can I route this supply from PMIC -BD71847AMWV ?
yes

Hi Igor,
Many thanks.
The ethernet PHY will utilize 221mA typically and the maximum current capacity of LDO6 in PMIC- BD71847 is 300mA @1.2V.
So if I route this1.2V from PMIC (LDO6) to Ethernet PHY this will work. right?
Can you please check and validate this.

Dhara
Hi Dhara
yes your understandng is right.
