i.MX8 4k@30 capture support

Hi,

We have been trying to get a sensor giving 4k@30 in RAW10 to work with an iMX8 using 4 lanes and 891Mbps/lane but haven't been able to get it to work properly. We have had some issues described in the following thread:

https://community.nxp.com/message/1243084?commentID=1243084

Does anyone know if this datarate is confirmed to work in an iMX8?

Has anyone been successful capturing using a similar datarate and number of lanes?

Any help will be appreciated.

Regards,

Edison

Hello Edison,

Taking in consideration the clock mentioned in Clocks issue when capturing 4K@30 RAW10 in i.MX8M

In i.MX8QM, if you use HDMI, then four display options are following:

HDMI 4K30(below such bandwidth) + 2 LVDS + 1DSI

or

HDMI 4K30(below such bandwidth) + LVDS + 2 DSI

If using HDMI 4K60, then it only support three display as HDMI 4K60+ DSI + LVDS

Hi,

Thanks for your reply but my problem is in the capture side. I haven't been able to capture from a camera giving 4K@30 video. From the tests I've done it looks like a datarate issue and I haven't been able to find a clock configuration for iMX8 that works.

Regards,

Edison
