1. In i.MX Linux release note for L4.14.78, it said i.MX7ULP board support MIPI Camera CSI.

2. In i.MX7ULP EVK fact sheet and quick start guide, it didn't show camera interface.

3. In i.MX7ULP fact sheet, it said camera is parallel interface.

Which one is right?

Hello m.c,

The i.MX7ULP is currently in preproduction status so I would need to ask you to please contact your Distributor or FAE for technical inquiries for this processor.

Mi apologies for the inconvenience,

Hi,

There's only a VIU parallel interface for camera. But currently there's no i.MX VIU driver released (maybe because there's no VIU interface on EVK board).

If customer need to connect a camera using VIU, please describe your camera here (interface, format, etc.).

We've an unofficial VIU driver and maybe we can provide you for reference.

  Thanks!

Regards

Terry

Hi m.c,

Adding to the above reply,

iMX7ULP has VIU (Video Interface Unit) that can capture camera images using parallel interface. Currently, the driver for VIU interface is under development. Still you can use existing fsl-viu.c as reference.
