Does anyone know if the FlexCAN driver in the linux bsp has the workaround implemented as described in ERR05829? The note says that there is no software workaround available, but a workaround is presented in the document.

No, it is not implemented. You need to implement it until the fix is available. The instructions on the workaround are in the errata.
