i.MX6 soloX MMC and eMMC

Hi.

I have been studying about i.MX6 SoloX Boot with IMX6SXRM.

And In this Document, eMMC and MMC are confusing me...

The example below

MMC vs eMMC what's difference? when it comes to in this document.

Due to my poor english, I don't understand the red box...

Does the red box mean remove this sd card and connect to eMMC???

current imx6 solox sabresd board doesn't include emmc, pls refer to the schematic:

if you want to use it, you can solid on this footprint

First picture is in i.mx6 soloX Reference Manual Page 385 (Chapter 8.5.3.1)

Second picture is in i.MX Linux Release Notes Rev.L5.4.70_2.3.0-31 December 2020 Page 26~32

( I extracted the one that is related to mmc and emmc)

My question is still same.

MMC vs eMMC is confusing in documents.

and what does the red box mean in second picture?

Hi,

Do you have AVL(alternate vendor list) for the emmc? or can i use any emmc part?

The part in the reference design MTFC8GLCDM is obsolete.
